I wasn’t able to take the leap from corporate America to becoming my own boss until I realized that I was the common denominator in my own life. Every scene featured guess who? Me.
Do you have challenges and are surrounded by people who don’t quite get it? Maybe you don’t have the extra time to put towards your business because you work long hours and have a family. Maybe you are not even clear on what your mission is. Or maybe you don’t feel you have enough resources to take the leap. Whatever is going on in your life at this moment I want you to accept that you are indeed the common denominator in all of it.
Think about that for a moment. Look at your life. Who’s responsible for your happiness? Who’s responsible for creating the life you desire to live? Since I know how badly you want to quit your day job, here are few tips on how to get started.
Tip number one: You are the common denominator. Whatever it is you want to create you have to take the first step. Whatever that first step is you need to take it. Because guess what if you don’t take the first step it will never happen. And believe me you already know the first step though you might pretend that you don’t. Trust me you know. If you really believe that you don’t know your first step I encourage you to put away your cell phone. Disconnect from social media and spend sometime in meditation. Ask the universe, “What should I do now?” And I promise you will receive the answer.
I’m not that religious, even though I grew up in the church. But I do honestly believe in what Jesus the great teacher said: “Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door shall be open unto thee.” Unless you are actively seeking the answer, it will never come.
Tip number two: Start building the muscles to become a stronger you. The stronger you become in your thinking the easier it is for you to stand in your own power and authority.
Tip number three: If you believe you were born to be more than what you are currently doing then it’s time for you to hire a transformation coach who can help you tap in to your creativity. That was the key to creating a business allowing me to do what I want to do, instead of doing what I have to do. Indeed, you are the common denominator and you are also the solution.
